Small Church Retreat

Camp fun for your church family!
A weekend retreat for families and individuals from small churches in Mission Presbytery. This retreat is a collaboration between the Austin College ACtivators, the Mission Presbytery Connect Committee, and John Knox Ranch.

Price includes housing, camp activities, and our legendary homemade meals.

  • Who is this for?
    For families and individuals from small churches in Mission Presbytery (membership of 75 or less) who would love to have a church retreat, but would benefit from combining with members from other churches.
    • Screen Cabin with ceiling fan and a shared bathhouse $75 per person.
    • Duplex Cabin with AC and a bathroom $125 per person.
    • Casita Cabin: private building with AC, bathroom, kitchenette, comes with linens. $175 per person (limit 4 people per Casita)
    • Children 3 years old and younger are free

  • Age
    Families and individuals welcome!
    You will be responsible for your child(ren) while they are at camp. Families will stay together as they participate in activities around the camp. All ages are welcome!
  • Food
    Food is part of our program! We are proud to serve homemade, delicious food at every meal.
  • Activities
    We have a great list of potential activities: Ropes challenge course, disc golf, hiking, Bible stories, arts & crafts, canoeing, fishing, swimming, archery, tie-dyeing, rock climbing, rappelling, and more! Scroll down for draft schedule.

  • Wait List
    Registration is open until camps are full. When camps fill up, we do offer a waiting list. Please contact us to inquire if a camp session you are interested in is full.

  • Scholarships
    Financial assistance is available. The scholarship application can be found in the registration portal.
  • Getting around camp
    While here we ask you to fully participate in the life of camp. We encourage you to park your car and experience camp on foot for all who are able. If you have accessibility/transportation challenges you can use your personal vehicle to slowly and safely move around camp. All exterior gates are locked at night for camper safety. Any trips offsite must be pre-arranged with the director.
DRAFT Schedule

Friday

5:30pm-7pm: Check in at the office

7pm: Dinner and all camp evening activity

9pm: Closing

Saturday

8am: Breakfast

9-10:15 am: Keynote 1. Children with JKR staff

10:30am-12: Parent free time. Children with JKR staff

12pm: Lunch, Singing

1pm-3pm: Rest/Free Time

3pm-6pm: Rotating Activity Blocks

Examples: a.) Archery b.) Canoeing c.) Fishing e.) Zip Line

6pm: Dinner

6:30pm: Keynote 2 for adults, Kids play outside with staff.

7:30pm: Hayrides, games, smores, campfire

Sunday

9am: Breakfast

10am: Worship

11am: Goodbye! See you next time!
