John Knox Ranch believes that the best experiences in life are ones that are shared with others. Over the years, we have collaborated with a number of organizations and groups whose mission and goals complement ours. The work we accomplish together is greater than anything we might do alone. We welcome new partners and future “long-time friends,” so if you are interested in exploring the possibility partnering with us, please call us at (830) 935-4568 or email Chris Holmes, Executive Director. Hospice Austin – Camp Braveheart

Children who are grieving can experience a sense of isolation as they struggle with deep and complicated feelings. Often, these children know no one else who has suffered a similar loss. Camp Brave Heart, staffed by counselors experienced in child and adolescent grief support, helps campers ages 6 to 17 discover that they are not alone. Swimming, hiking, campfires, hayrides, sing-a-longs, crafts and a low-level ropes course are just a few of the activities that campers enjoy. Over the course of three days packed with recreational and therapeutic activities, campers hear each other’s stories, explore their grief in a safe and understanding environment, and learn ways to help them cope with their loss.
